Kamik Canada first approached us with the desire to promote their newest initiative—free play for children. Free Play is unstructured, child-initiated activity that allows kids to develop their imaginations while exploring and experiencing the world around them, often out of the view and supervision of adults.

#FreeYourPlay was only the beginning of our collaboration that would include the elaboration of their social media content strategy, the brand’s editorial strategy for their blog, the production of their promotional material for their consumer newsletters as well as multiple photoshoots and video campaigns that would be deployed internationally across their four key markets—Canada, the USA, Germany and Norway.

For Kamik, ‘play’ isn’t the most important word – ‘free’ is.

In a world where children are spending 40% less time playing outside than previous generations, and where the frequency of kids playing freely outside has drastically decreased, Kamik recognized the urgent need to reconnect families with the power of play.

To tug at the nostalgic heartstrings of parents, we conceptualized a heartwarming idea that would resonate deeply. We orchestrated two surprise meet-ups between childhood friend groups who had either lost touch or rarely had the opportunity to reunite. The mission was simple: to let them play, just as freely as they did when they were young.

The result? An emotionally-charged video that became the catalyst for launching the brand’s international #FreeYourPlay movement.

This production not only captured the essence of pure joy and unbridled fun but also served as a powerful reminder of the transformative impact play has on our lives.

In a bold stride towards innovation, Kamik, leaders in the children’s product industry, embraced an exciting opportunity: to cater to a new generation of fashion-conscious women. Introducing their newest brand persona, Audrey, Kamik embarked on a journey to redefine their women’s footwear with a touch of contemporary flair.

Entrusted with the task of bringing Audrey to life, our creative team embarked on a mission to produce videos that seamlessly blended her persona with Kamik’s Heritage product line. Through curated short fashion scenes, we unveiled glimpses into Audrey’s world—a realm where style, substance, and self-expression converged harmoniously.

Where will your boots take you?

Stepping away from the conventional product-focused approach, Kamik embarked on a transformative journey to redefine their brand narrative. With a vision to evoke emotions and resonate deeply with their audience, they sought to create an international campaign that would leave an indelible mark on hearts around the world.

Guided by our shared passion for storytelling, we conceived a concept that transcended the constraints of time. Introducing the captivating title, “Where will your boots take you?” we embarked on a cinematic adventure, crafting a video and accompanying photos that painted a nostalgic tapestry of Kamik’s journey through the life of our protagonist.

Through each scene, we seamlessly integrated the presence of Kamik products, symbolizing their enduring role in cherished memories and timeless experiences. With every frame, we aimed to transport viewers into a captivating mini-movie, immersing them in the rich heritage of Kamik.

Despite the summer heat during our shoot day, we managed to create a snowy wonderland scene for the video in August!
